Product Description
Wild rice is actually a type of grass which gives it a slightly different texture, slightly more bite, rich in fibre, and lower in carbohydrates when compared to classic grains. Its got a lovely nutty flavour with a mild peppery aftertaste. Its dark colour makes it rich in antioxidants, helping to detox the body and remove free radicals. It is fantastic in salads with roast vegetables and chopped nuts.
To cook, rinse the rice first and then add to the stove with 4 times more water to rice. Cook until tender and drain excess water. Store, dry, wild rice in an airtight container and keep in a cool, dry place.
